This means that if you are injured at work and need to claim workers\u2019 compensation benefits, you will be able to obtain more during this fiscal year than the prior fiscal year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If we examine <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leg.state.nv.us\/nrs\/nrs-616A.html#NRS616ASec065\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nevada Revised Statutes 616A.065<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0 we can see that the maximum average monthly wage is based on 150% of the average weekly wage multiplied by 4.33. For example, the current fiscal year calculation would look like this:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">$1,300.33 X 150% X 4.33 = <strong>$8,445.64<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The maximum disability compensation for Nevada for a workplace injury or illness is 66 2\/3% of the average monthly wage for the current fiscal year. Based on the calculation above, the maximum monthly wage is $7,309.80. The maximum disability compensation is 66 2\/3% of either that number or the actual earned wage, if a person earned less than that. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, we can look at the following compensation to see that the maximum disability compensation in Nevada for 2025 is:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">$8,445.64 X 66 2\/3% = <strong>$5,630.43<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>How Does This Affect Temporary Disability and Permanent Disability Benefits?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The change to the average weekly wage and maximum disability benefits affects both temporary disability benefits and permanent disability benefits. All workers\u2019 compensation claims are calculated using the updated average weekly wage for the fiscal year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, it is crucial to understand that individuals are not able to receive more than one type of benefit during the same time period for the same workers\u2019 compensation claim. For example, individuals cannot get permanent partial disability benefits (PPD) at the same time that they receive temporary total disability benefits (TTD).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Temporary Total Disability (TTD)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If individuals receive TTD benefits, this means that their injury or illness temporarily prevents them from performing their job duties. TTD benefits are designed to cover lost wages at the rate of 66 2\/3% of their average monthly wage while a person recovers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Permanent Partial Disability (PPD)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PPD benefits are based on a workplace injury victim\u2019s permanent impairments as determined by a qualified medical provider.
